Over the holiday weekend I journeyed down a bedazzled rabbit hole and into the world of Japanese nail art magazines. This mani is inspired by the calculated composition and unbridled opulence of the Japanese style. As with fashion in general, Japan approaches nail art with fanatic enthusiasm and has multiple magazines solely dedicated to showcasing it (Nail Up! and Nail Max are the most popular). Daria Nails!

I’ve seen quite a few different interpretations of Daria themed nails. This was my first attempt at some, I think they turned out well but I’d like to work more on Jane and Trent. I cannot stress enough how much better they look in real life, I think its just that I’m useless with a camera. 

I wanted the colours to really stand out and I think it worked out well. I used acrylic paint for them and then overlayed with clear nail polish to seal in the design.

Hi followers! So I finally did it; I gave in & made a new blog just for my nail art. This is still my main blog, and I will still be reblogging other peoples nail art that I like here, but my other blog will solely be about my own nails, nail art, etc. This means that I will no longer be posting MY nail art on this blog.

I did some Midnight Red inspired nails, and I’m pretty pleased with them!

Midnight Red is a “boyband,” but don’t let that discourage you from checking them out! They’ve got fantastic vocals, they dance, and they truly are a great group of guys who know how to put on a show! Their music is fun and just makes you want to get up & dance!
