I now have a Kindle and want to read a million books
Give me suggestions! Please? :-]
A few days ago I got a Kindle, and I’m so excited about it! I just got the plain one only to read books. I thought the Kindle Fire would be a bit unnecessary; at least for me. I got my mom a Kindle for Christmas, and she loved it, so I got one too! I know there is a lot of debate over whether the Kindle or other e-readers are good or bad, and these are my thoughts.
I LOVE books. I love the smell of a new book, I love turning each individual page, and just physically possessing it, but I can’t deny the convenience of the Kindle. It’s small and compact. For the most part, it’s easier to carry around than a book. I usually order books online, and in the end, Kindle books come out cheaper for me since I don’t have to pay shipping and handling. The black and white actually does make it looks like you’re reading an actual book. Probably one of the largest advantages in my opinion, is the storage capabilities. This Kindle can store anywhere from hundreds to over a thousand books. For people like my mom and I, who have over 1,000 books between us, this is great! We seriously have nowhere to keep all of our books. Having this Kindle eliminates that need to make room for books.
Personally, I’m pro Kindle, but that doesn’t mean I’ll never buy a physical book again. I like having my favorite books in hard copy.
Debating..
So I always said that I wouldn’t want an eReader, because I love to physically have copies of books too much. Just knowing that you’ve got new book, and the feel, and the smell; I love it. But while at Borders the other day, I saw an eReader, and suddenly it didn’t seem that appalling. I just think there would be more possibilities, my personal pro for an eReader would be easy storage for a ton of books. Physically, I have nowhere to keep anymore books. I have hundreds in storage, and probably just under 100 on bookshelves in my room. Idk. Just something I’m considering.
