Thanksgiving Water Marble
When all else fails, water marble! Lol. At least that’s what I do. Thanksgiving is still a week away, but I these colors felt very Fall/Thanksgiving to me, so I went ahead and marbled with them.
Colors used:
OPI - Over The Taupe
China Glaze - Lemon Fizz, Peachy Keen
Sally Hansen X-treme Wear - Green With Envy
A super simple tape mani, but I love it! The picture does not do this Wet N Wild glitter justice. It’s so gorgeous! I’m also in love with the Hard Candy Matte top coat. My favorite was Essie’s Matte About You, but in my opinion this Hard Candy one is just as good, and definitely a cheaper alternative!
Colors used:
Wet N Wild - Rockin’ Rubies
OPI - A Oui Bit Of Red
Sally Hansen X-treme Wear - Black Out
Hard Candy - Matte-ly In Love
Experimenting with tape. Idk how I feel about them…
Colors used:
China Glaze - Secret Periwinkle
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Silver Sweep, Jade Jump
Leopard print
Colors used:
OPI - Pamplona Purple, Sparrow Me The Drama
Sally Hansen X-treme Wear - White On, Black Out
I wanted to try out my new Hard Candy polish for marbling, and it spread very well in the water, but the whole process was incredibly frustrating. Now that the weather is just colder in general, the polish was drying incredibly fast in the water, and the designs weren’t coming out how I wanted. Not to mention it was extremely messy, which is, for the most part, very uncommon for me. I mattified it because it looked better that way than it did shiny. And then of course, I smudged a finger immediately after putting matte top coat. Anyways, done ranting and raving. Lol.
Colors used:
Hard Candy - Frenzy, Matte-ly In Love
Zoya - Kelly
Essie - Chinchilly
Pastel Rainbow Skittle
Honestly, I didn’t want to spend much time on my nails, but I didn’t want them to be plain with just one color either, so I thought a pastel rainbow was a good idea. It’s so simple, and I’ve seen it done a few times and I always love it!
Colors used:
OPI - Gargantuan Green Grape, What’s With The Cattitude
China Glaze - Go Go Pink, Peachy Keen
Sally Hansen X-treme Wear - Lacey Lilac
Still playing around with my water decals! I only did one hand.
Colors used:
Full nail decals bought from Yayajulia
OPI - Sparrow Me The Drama
Ulta - Tink-Her-Bell
So I tried out the water decals today. They’re kinda difficult to get on, in my opinion, but I expect like with anything else, it will get easier with practice. Unfortunately for me, most of the decals didn’t fit my nails; apparently my nails are wide, idk. Lol. Anyways, I managed to get 3 on that fit okay. They’re too cute to go to waste, so I’m gonna use them whether they’re too small or not!
Colors used:
Full water decals from Yayajulia
Nabi - Pastel Pink
Sinful Colors - Pinky Glitter
Pretty much the same idea as the mani I did last week, and a ridiculous assortment of rhinestones on my thumb; they’re pretty unnecessary but I wanted to put some different sizes and shapes to use. I’ve been really lazy this week…
Colors used:
Claire’s - 14 Karats
Sally Hansen X-treme Wear - Bubblegum Pink
Zoya - Perrie
LA Colors Striper - White
My Pocahontas inspired nails! Pocahontas was my favorite Disney movie growing up. Not gonna list the colors because there are so many, but this was done with both polish and acrylic paints. In case you can’t tell what is what:
Thumb: Governor Ratcliffe
Index: Pocahontas
Middle: Meeko
Ring: John Smith
Pinky: Flit
